Continuing Education Program HLTAID011 - Year A (no online)

For those who already hold HLTAID003 or HLTAID011, our unique Continuous Education Program allows participants to re-complete their qualification over the 3 years during the life of their current qualification, including annual reaccreditation of CPR. Year A of the program focuses on the first aid knowledge and skills for asthma, bleeding and shock.

HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Everyone in Australia is encouraged to know how to perform CPR. This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to situations where cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of a defibrillator is needed.

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Life Support

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (no online)

Gain a thorough understanding and the practical skills in providing first aid response, life support, and the management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course includes CPR.

HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid

Gain a thorough understanding and the practical skills in providing an advanced first aid response, including life support, management of multiple casualties, coordination of first aid resources and management of the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course includes CPR.

HLTAID015 Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy (no online)

Providing first aid can save a life. Sometimes, certain complex environments and types of work mean that more advanced first aid skills are appropriate. This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

UETDRMP007 Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus. Note - This does not include overhead lines and underground cables. It also includes your CPR unit. Pre-requisite units apply. You must hold either UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace, or UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker before attending this course. NOTE: Those holding an existing ESI or Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent automatically meet the prerequisite unit requirements.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Speedy Refresher)

Designed for people who have previously completed CPR training and require their annual refresher assessment. This is an assessment only course, with follow up support provided for anyone who does not demonstrate competency during assessment.

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

If you need a bit more than CPR, this course provides the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Do you work in education or childcare? This specialised first aid course is designed for you. This training covers all the requirements to provide CPR and first aid, with a specific focus on children.

HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site

This course provides the knowledge and skills to perform first aid in remote situations, where medical attention or assistance is delayed, and the First Aider may be required to attend to an injured or ill person for an extended period due to inclement weather or an isolated location and rough terrain. Perfect for the outback adventurer or extreme 4WD explorers.

22556VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace

This course will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to be able to develop an asthma management plan and provide asthma related first aid interventions in the workplace.

22578VIC Course in the First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to be able to recognise and manage anaphylaxis, including using an Auto Injecting Device (such as an EpiPen and Anapen). It also considers allergy risk management in the workplace.

22579VIC Course in Verifying the Correct Use of Adrenaline Injector Devices

This course will equip nominated Victorian school staff with the required skills and knowledge to verify that an individual who has undertaken the ASCIA Anaphylaxis e-training for Victorian Schools can demonstrate correct use of adrenaline injector devices.
